This Dirt Box, is made of heavy 16 gauge steel, holds 2 bags of dirt, and has a
centered panel inside that is bolted into position to keep the dirt from
honey-combing and not filling all the cells. The Dirt Box sets on 4ea.
1/2" allthreads or 1/2" carriage bolts so you can adjust the box to the
right height above your
tray. This keeps the excess dirt off the tops of the tray. The box comes
disassembled, but can be assembled in just a matter of minutes once it
arrives. The angle iron on the end panels are pre-welded as shown in
photo, comes with 4ea. 1/4"X1/2" flat head bolts, with self locking nuts,
to hold each corner together. Set the box on a home made table, take 1 sheet
of 4X8 plywood ripped long ways, into 2 pieces 22" wide each, one for the
seeder and dibble board, one for the dirt box, use 2X4's for the frame and
legs, set these end to end, save the 5" strip of plywood to use on
the seeder table to clamp down with the hands free attachments, and as
guide, on the back side to slide the trays against, use little thin
strips for a guide on the dirt box table or use metal angle. Comes
with instructions.
